Our cotton pillowcase offers you optimal comfort all year round. Cotton is naturally breathable and has temperature-balancing properties. In summer, the material ensures excellent moisture control and feels fresh and cool on the skin. In winter, a cotton pillowcase creates a cosy and warm sleep environment and balances between regulating temperature and keeping you warm. We make the pillowcases from an extra-soft satin weave that feels particularly soft and supple against the skin. This quality is created by a sophisticated weaving process. During this process, the individual cotton threads are woven very tightly together so that there are no large gaps. For the production of the Royfort cotton pillowcase, we also use a single twisted, long staple cotton with a very high thread density, which is 300. This thread density indicates the number of yarns per cm² that run horizontally and vertically. Soft bed textiles are created by using long staple cotton threads that are tightly woven and feel incredibly soft to the touch.

In addition, we guarantee sustainable processing of the organic cotton and adhere to strict ecological and social criteria during production. It is important to us not to produce disposable products, but to offer sustainable and durable pillowcases. Organic cotton is a protected term for which very strict conditions must be met. By avoiding poisons and chemical fertilisers, organic raw materials can still be harvested by hand, which has a positive effect on product quality.

We do not use artificial fertilisers when growing organic cotton. Instead, the farmers rely on a closed nutrient cycle in which the soil is maintained or built up with a humus layer. In addition, only organic fertilisers are used, which are made from plant residues or manure. Our cotton pillowcases are GOTS certified. This seal guarantees the gentle cultivation methods of the raw materials for our cotton pillowcase, and ensures sustainable and environmentally friendly processing of these raw materials. This is the leading standard for the processing of textiles made from organically produced natural fibres.

People with allergies have specific requirements when choosing their bed, and pillowcases. Often, they react strongly to mites and sneeze, cough and have watery eyes. Our cotton pillowcase does not lose its size after washing. To account for shrinkage issues, during production, we make each cotton pillowcase slightly larger. After washing, it has the perfect fit and can be easily changed thanks to the envelope opening.

Each cotton pillowcase is made in close partnership with a family business in Portugal and is produced with fair labor standards. Our product is also practical for everyday use, as it requires little ironing. We recommend that you wash the cotton pillowcase in a wash cycle with 600 to 800 rpm and only fill the machine halfway. It is best to let the duvet cover air dry - this way there are hardly any creases and you can put your cotton pillowcase on directly after washing.
