Down duvets are synonymous with warm winter nights, when you snuggle up in your thick down duvet whilst the chilly weather rages outside. We offer our winter down duvet for these nights in fact the filling quantity is precisely tailored for this weather. The winter down duvet is ideal if you sleep with the window open in winter or if you don't heat your bedroom. The extra fluffy down filling keeps you wonderfully warm all night long. You can buy the down duvets in different sizes with a filling weight of up to 1320 grams.

Even in summer, you can enjoy the comfort of high-quality summer down duvets on balmy nights. Lightweight down duvets are filled with less down, regulate moisture and ensure even heat distribution. The down duvet is ultra-light and creates a cosy feeling without heat build-up under the duvet. Depending on the size, our down duvets for summer have a filling weight between 290 and 555 grams. The correct size for you depends on your bed as well as personal preference, some people prefer extra material and others as little as possible.

Either duck or goose down is used for the production of down duvets. We have chosen to fill our products with 100% goose down; Goose down has a larger diameter - it is about the size of a euro coin. This creates a larger air cushion, the down can store heat better and keep out the cold more effectively.

Down is a natural product with excellent properties, it consists of thin, very fine hairs, which are light and offer perfect heat insulation and moisture regulation. The soft down has no pointed keel and is much more comfortable than synthetic materials. 

Down is a cushioning layer under the smooth feathers of the bird and has a temperature-balancing effect. In summer, down protects the bird from the heat and in winter from the low temperatures in the air.

We make use of this natural effect of down in the production of duvets. Our feather duvets adapt perfectly to the body while you sleep, creating that special cuddle factor that you only feel with high-quality down duvets. Down can absorb a lot of moisture and release it back into the environment.

When it comes to down duvets, there are different qualities on the market. Feathers are often added as a cheap filling in down duvets. In order for the down to retain its natural properties, you should shake out your down duvet every day if possible. This allows the down to spread its fine hairs again, store warmth and keep out the cold. However, we recommend professional care for thorough washing and cleaning. You buy a down duvet without live plucking in certified quality. Our down duvets are provided with the so-called Downpass certification. This certificate indicates that only down and feathers from animals kept in species-appropriate conditions are used in the manufacture of our products. Furthermore, any live plucking is excluded. The down and feathers for bed production are a by-product. We pay attention to controlled and traceable supply chains throughout the entire manufacturing process. The origin of every single down is strictly documented.

People with allergies often avoid blankets with or made of natural materials and instead turn to synthetic alternatives. In doing so, however, they often unnecessarily miss out on the luxurious sleeping feeling that only comes with a genuine 100% goose down duvet. Allergy sufferers usually react to mites that can settle in the down. However, the feathers of geese are naturally made in such a way that hardly any parasites settle here. Mites do not find a proper hold along the fluffy and elastic down and prefer to look for other hosts instead.

Furthermore, we use a very fine weave in the production process, which also prevents mites from penetrating. People with house dust allergies usually have no problems sleeping under a goose down duvet and enjoy a restful night's sleep. This is also guaranteed by the Nomite certification, which is awarded to our Royfort down duvets. This international trademark identifies bedding that is suitable for house dust mite allergy sufferers. Due to the very fine weave and the perfect climate management, our duvets do not provide good living conditions for mites and guarantee you a healthy sleep.
